Harlan Greer

Minority Staff Director of the Federal Spending Oversight and Emergency Management Subcommittee
Harlan Geer is the Minority Staff Director of the Federal Spending Oversight and Emergency Management Subcommittee of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs (HSGAC). In this capacity, he serves as the manager of subcommittee staff for the Ranking Member, Senator Maggie Hassan (D-NH). In addition, Harlan concurrently is a senior advisor to Senator Hassan, counseling her on legislative and policy matters relating to cybersecurity and counterterrorism. Harlan has worked on homeland security and national security issues for more than 14 years in the United States Senate for Senator Hassan and, prior to Senator Hassan’s election, HSGAC Committee Chairman Senator Tom Carper (D-DE). Harlan earned his masters degree from the George Washington University in Security Policy Studies and originally hails from the White Mountain of northern New Hampshire.
